Flock 2.0 is on the development path.

As many people are doing the same, I downloaded FF3 today. However, I didn’t install it. It was only to help the Mozilla foundation try to break download records, because such a great piece of software needs to be recognised. But with FF3 out, there is a release that I’m much more looking forward to now, and that is Flock 2.0. The good thing about Flock 1.0 was that it only required two major point builds (1.1 and 1.2 obviously), with a few minor bugfixes inbetween. Therefore, it was relatively complete when it was released. Granted, it took an absolute age for the product to be released in the first place, but when it WAS released and marketed to the general internet-going public, rather than those looking for a fuller alternative to Firefox, it was pretty much done. There were point builds, as I said, for Webmail, Digg, Pownce and a couple of other services, but there were no glaring omissions like a rather well known faux pas known as Vista.
