While in the middle of Flock Fast, it appears that Firefox let in a Trojan called Virtumonde into my system. The only program that had changed since the beginning of Flock Fast was the browser, which I had changed to Firefox 3 instead of Flock v2. Because of this, my entire system was compromised to the point where I couldn’t even open the Task Manager without having to wait a minute for it to load. Because of this, I will no longer be using Firefox 3 in Flock Fast, rather that I change the layout of my interface in Flock so I do not have the extra Flock features, but at the same time I will have the security that seemed to have been lacking in Firefox.
Personally, I believe that it was the fact that I was running Firefox, which is now a majority browser, was the issue, since Flock advertises it’s presence differently, therefore theoretically proofing itself. Either way, I will continue the project regardless; tomorrow’s video might be a bit delayed, though.
