So when I look at my programs list on my Start Menu, I see a lot of one-use-wonders; programs that I have downloaded specifically for one purpose,and then left on the drive in case I need them again. But there are some that I have always had, and always continued to use.

Games Are Too Complicated?

So, I’ve been reading THIS article (which was provided through n4g), and it’s a refreshing look at why the casual market has been a success, but from a different point of view entirely. It’s quotes from Gamasutra’s interview with Yoshi Ono, a producer and programmer for Capcom.

As much as I can understand what he’s saying, that the games industry set out to make games deeper and deeper, hence alienating the casual audience that gave the gaming industry it’s first boost back in the days of every community having at least one arcade, I have to disagree with what he wants to do, which is bring casual gaming back to what it once was.
