Life List for 2009

When 2009 rolled around, I had made a list of tasks for me to work on for  the year. I’d written them down (my handwriting has got even worse since then, somehow), and I put them in a drawer, and forgot about them. Things as they are, I think it’s worth taking a look at it and compare it to what I have done this year.

My Opinion of 'That Level' in MW2.

When I say ‘That Level’, I’m sure everyone who has the vaguest of grasps of the videogame industry will know exactly what I am talking about. The Airport Level, dubbed ‘No Russian’ in the Single Player Campaign, has you partake (or not partake, as is your choice) in the slaughtering of innocent Russian civilians, and have a firefight with the Federalnaya Sluzhba Bezopasnosti (FSB, the Russian Federal Security Service). It’s a terrorist attack, there is no doubt in anyone’s mind about that, but there appears to be a gap widening in the MW2 players, and indeed the non-players, as to why the level was included at all.

I Need a Better Title.

I’m pretty much settled in again now. Nana’s house has been sorted and cleared out, so Mum’s not got that weighing on her shoulders all the time. It’s about time she had something resembling free time; I rarely see her before 7pm without her rushing around to try and get to work. I helped a little bit, but it felt like a lot to me. It makes me wonder just how much stuff she actually went through at the house.
